"Matriarchs on Main Street”: Powerful women of 1960s Arrow Rock clash over a
question that shapes the village’s future: what should be saved, and what must
change? Some champion securing Arrow Rock’s recognition as a National Historic Landmark while some fear that landmark status will restrict growth and turn a living town into a stagnant museum. More than six decades later, their legacy endures.

"Spirit of the Missouri Frontier” -
In this production we hear from women and formerly enslaved people, along with a restless young man of privilege. Spans the years of 1829 through 1884.
"Crossing Barriers” -
Shares the story of photojournalist
Jim Curley as he chronicles the unlikely bond between two Arrow Rock citizens of very different social and ethnic backgrounds in the late l9th century.

"The Heartbeat of Women” - In 1994, Bette Murrell reflects on historic preservation at Oak Grove Plantation, bringing to life the voices of Sophia Murrell and Mary, an enslaved woman, in the aftermath of an 1863 Civil War skirmish.
"County Election” - Details the connections between George Caleb Bingham’s 1852 painting and 1970s Arrow Rock through an enslaved barkeep and local citizens.
"Her Name” - Follows Adeline and Frank Switzler, both formerly enslaved, in 1884 as they welcome their youngest child and discuss what they will name her. Exploring family, freedom, and the transition from slavery to emancipation.
"Ignore the Shadow” - Set on November 24, 1881, the story follows Green Wilson as he prepares to marry Nellie Robinson and reflects with his mother, Ellen McMahon Wilson, on their lives after slavery.
"Consummate Showman” - Set in Kansas City from 1896 to 1899, the story follows Doc Brown, a formerly enslaved man from near Arrow Rock who became a nationally celebrated cakewalk performer.
"Great Protector” - Follows the Osage leader Mo’n-Shon-A-Ki-Da Tonka as he works to protect his people while dealing with U.S. officials in the early 1800s.
"The Professor” - The story follows John Thomas Trigg and his wife Mary Alice, exploring Trigg’s strict teaching philosophy, and his commitment to Black education at Brown Chapel School.
"What She Inspired” - Set in 1938 at the J. Huston Tavern in Arrow Rock, the story follows Nellie Page Carter as she reflects on her writing and the influence thereof.
"Brave” - The story follows Me-ho’n-ga, an Osage woman from near Arrow Rock, on a difficult journey to Europe and back to Missouri, while connecting her 19th century story to a living descendant.
